Impington Village College is based on the outskirts of Cambridge and is a highly successful school and 6th Form.

the brief

Our overall brief was to design a new brand for Impington Village College and a much needed website. The new website’s objective was to communicate the strengths and uniqueness of the school. It also had to be the main information tool for the school for a wide range of areas including curriculum subjects and school policies through to emergency closure notices.

the response

Once the new brand was designed by our creative team we went to work on the website. Our web design team had to produce a website that was easy to use and appealed to the whole community from teenagers to pensioners! Not an easy task but one we relished.

Step one was to agree the website specification and structure, the large amount of content required a seamless navigation to make it user friendly. Once this was agreed our creative team added the new brand colourways and photography to the design layouts and the site started taking shape.

A key requirement was for the IVC team to be able to make changes to the content and add new pages. Just the job for DrumEdit, our Content Management System, which is the basis for most sites we produce and makes it easy for clients to update their own websites.

The website went live at the beginning of the school year in September and we have received many compliments from the local community on how much of an improvement it is.
